Delete your ontap account

You can delete your ontap account and everything in it at any time, on iPhone or Android.

In the app (fastest)

1. Open ontap and go to your Profile.
2. On iPhone, open Settings; on Android, scroll to Account.
3. Tap Delete my account, then Delete everything.

Your account is deleted straight away and you're signed out.

Without the app

Email luca@getontap.net from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my ontap account". Include your username if you know it. We'll delete the account within 30 days and reply to confirm.

What gets deleted

• Your account: username, email address and sign-in details
• Your profile photo
• Every beer you've logged, with its time and location
• Your posts (taps) and their photos, captions and comments
• Cheers, friendships, friend requests and squad memberships
• Saved places, privacy settings and notification tokens

What's kept

Nothing that identifies you. Deleted data can't be restored. Copies may remain in our hosting provider's routine backups for a short time before those backups are overwritten; they're never used to restore a deleted account. Totals that don't identify anyone (such as the worldwide beer counter) aren't reduced.

Want to keep your account?

You can delete single beers, posts or comments in the app without deleting your account.
